Elegant and structured, this Pommard 1er Cru offers dark cherry, plum, and earthy spice. Silky tannins and refined oak lend depth and age-worthiness to this classic Burgundian Pinot Noir.
Albert Grivault Pommard Clos Blanc is a rare and distinctive red Burgundy from a unique monopole vineyard in the village of Pommard. Although the name "Clos Blanc" typically refers to white wine, this is in fact a red Pinot Noir, named for the pale limestone soils that define the site. Farmed with respect for tradition and terroir, this wine showcases both the finesse and structure that characterise top-tier Côte de Beaune Pinot Noir.
Fragrant aromas of cherry, cranberry, rose petals, and subtle spice. The palate is elegant yet firm, with flavours of red berry, earth, fine herbs, and a touch of oak, finishing long with silky tannins and mineral lift.
Contains sulphites.
Clos Blanc is a monopole vineyard uniquely owned by Domaine Albert Grivault—its name refers to the light-coloured soils that give this red Pommard its trademark elegance and aromatic lift.
