Esprit de Begude Pinot Noir

Esprit de Bégude Pinot Noir is a vibrant, cool-climate Pinot Noir from Limoux in the foothills of the Pyrenees. Bright ruby in colour, it combines fresh red berry fruit with subtle spice and earthy undertones. The palate is supple and elegant, showing flavours of cherry and wild strawberry supported by fine tannins and lively acidity, creating a style that is fresh, balanced and distinctly Burgundian in character despite its southern French origins.

Limoux is one of the coolest wine regions in southern France, thanks to its altitude and proximity to the Pyrenees, making it unusually well suited to Pinot Noir. Domaine Bégude’s vineyards sit at over 300 metres above sea level, where cooler night temperatures help preserve acidity and aromatic freshness. The estate is also certified organic and focuses heavily on low-intervention vineyard work to highlight the character of the fruit rather than oak or extraction.
