Domaine de Saje Chateauneuf-du-Pape

Domaine de Saje Châteauneuf-du-Pape is a classic southern Rhône red made from a blend of traditional local varieties, led by Grenache. Deep ruby in colour, it offers aromas of ripe raspberry, black cherry and plum, alongside liquorice, pepper and dried Mediterranean herbs. The palate is generous and full-bodied, with ripe tannins, warming spice and a savoury finish, while retaining enough freshness to keep the wine balanced.

Domaine de Saje is a relatively young estate, founded by Cédric Saje in 2013, but its vineyards are located on some of the classic stony soils of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. These large, rounded stones, known as galets roulés, absorb heat during the day and release it slowly at night, helping Grenache ripen fully while the mistral wind helps keep the vines dry.
