Domaine Berthier 'L'Instant' Pinot Noir

100% Pinot Noir, made by two brothers, Clément and Florian Berthier, who are among the Loire's most talented young winemakers. This region is known for its white wine production but as the climate changes it has displayed its capacity for outstanding Pinot Noir. The vines grow on clay-limestone soil, mainly in the Northern sector of Sancerre.

This unoaked Pinot Noir is a vibrant, refreshing red that is as light on the palate as it is rich in flavour. With an enticing nose of dark fruits, this wine delights with aromas of blackberries, blueberries, and ripe cherries.

Clément and Florian take great pride in intervening as little as possible in their winemaking to enable each terroir to express its full potential. For the red wines, which are all hand-harvested and carefully sorted, everything starts with a cold soak for 5-10 days. Again, only native yeasts are used for fermentation.
