This organic and biodynamic Cotes du Rhone has a wonderfully deep fruit flavour, subtle spice and a lovely warming finish. A great addition to the range.
Domaine de Dionysos Côtes du Rhône is a classic southern Rhône red from the Farjon family in Uchaux. The estate has been in the family since 1720 and is now run by Benjamin Farjon, the seventh generation to work the vineyards. The Côtes du Rhône range is based around Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre and Carignan, giving a ripe, generous style with plenty of dark and red fruit, spice and soft tannins. The estate is certified organic, and the wine has the warmth and savoury character you would expect from the southern Rhône.

The Farjon family has been growing grapes at Uchaux since 1720, when the family left Marseille to escape an outbreak of plague. Seven generations later, Benjamin Farjon took over the estate in 2011. The name Dionysos refers to the Greek god of wine and reflects the family's Greek origins. Today the domaine farms around 61 hectares organically, with vineyards covering several Rhône appellations including Côtes du Rhône, Cairanne and Côtes du Rhône Villages.
