Causse du Theron Terrasse Cahors

Causse du Théron Terrasse is a deeply coloured Malbec from Cahors in South-West France, grown on the high limestone plateaux (or causses) that characterise the region. The wine is fermented in concrete and aged in large oak foudres, allowing the purity of the fruit and minerality of the terroir to shine without excessive oak influence.

Aromas of black plum, liquorice, and violet. The palate is dense yet fresh, with layers of blackberry, dark chocolate, and crushed stone, framed by firm but polished tannins and a long, savoury finish.

Contains sulphites.

The grapes for this wine come from limestone terraces 300 metres above sea level—an altitude that brings freshness and structure to the naturally powerful Cahors Malbec. The name “Terrasse” refers to these elevated vineyard sites, which were once ancient riverbeds, now prized for producing Malbecs with both depth and lift.
