An expressive Barbaresco with appealing notes of sweet red fruits, classic floral and dried herbs through to a velvety palate with a slightly dry finish typical of Nebbiolo.
Barbaresco Nubiola is a refined expression of Nebbiolo from the esteemed Pelissero estate, located in the heart of Piedmont’s Langhe region. Named after an ancient local term for Nebbiolo, “Nubiola” is a tribute to the grape’s deep roots in the area. This DOCG wine is produced from a selection of vineyards around Treiso, and aged in a combination of large Slavonian oak casks and smaller French barrels, striking a balance between traditional elegance and modern finesse.
Aromas of rose petals, sour cherry, liquorice, and subtle spice. The palate is structured and expressive, with flavours of red berries, leather, dried herbs, and fine tannins leading to a persistent, graceful finish.
Contains sulphites.
“Nubiola” was the historical name for Nebbiolo dating back to the 13th century—Pelissero chose it to honour the heritage of the variety and the timeless nature of great Barbaresco.
