Pungently aromatic with superb texture and palate weight and fresh overall crispness. A small proportion of the wine is barrel fermented adding complexity and richness. with a creamy, textural mid-palate and a long finish.
Mahi Sauvignon Blanc is a focused, textural white wine from Marlborough, New Zealand. Winemaker Brian Bicknell established Mahi with the goal of producing site-driven wines using organic practices and minimal intervention. This Sauvignon Blanc offers more restraint and structure than the typical Marlborough style, with a nod toward elegance and longevity.
Aromas of grapefruit, lime leaf, and subtle gooseberry. The palate is layered and dry, showing citrus, white peach, and a gentle herbal note, with fine acidity and a long, mineral-edged finish.
Contains sulphites.
Rather than leaning into the overt tropical style Marlborough is known for, Mahi takes a more refined approach. Wild ferment, extended lees contact, and fruit from carefully selected sites give this Sauvignon Blanc complexity and savoury depth.
