Château La Galiane Margaux offers a refined bouquet of blackcurrant, violet, and cedar. Silky tannins support a medium-bodied palate with elegant red and dark fruit, subtle spice, and a long, graceful finish.
Château La Galiane is a small, family-run estate located in the commune of Soussans, within Bordeaux’s prestigious Margaux appellation. Covering around five hectares of gravelly and sandy- gravel soils, the vineyard is planted with roughly 50% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 5% Petit Verdot. The wine is traditionally vinified and matured for around two years in oak barrels, producing a classic yet approachable Margaux style that balances structure with supple fruit.

The name “La Galiane” is said to reference an English general stationed in Aquitaine during the 15th century, reflecting the deep historical ties between Bordeaux and England. The estate’s relatively high proportion of Merlot for a Left Bank property gives the wine a slightly rounder, more velvety character compared to many Cabernet-dominant Margaux neighbours, making it both elegant and generous in style.
