40g/L residual sugar with this bottle age has given a wonderful easy drinking sweeter wine, perfect for combining with you favourite spiced food.
Anheuser Schloßböckelheimer Spätlese 1994 is a mature Riesling from the Nahe region of Germany, sourced from the steep, mineral-rich slopes around the village of Schloßböckelheim. Made in the Spätlese (late harvest) style, this wine offers natural sweetness balanced by vibrant acidity, and shows the depth and complexity that only time can deliver.
Evolved aromas of dried apricot, honey, petrol, and candied citrus peel. The palate is rich yet lifted, with notes of baked apple, marmalade, and stony minerality, finishing with freshness and impressive length.
Contains sulphites.
Anheuser is a historic Nahe estate dating back to the 1600s, and still family-run today. This 1994 Spätlese shows the remarkable ageing potential of Riesling, offering a rare chance to enjoy a fully developed wine direct from the estate's cellar.
