An intense nose of nectarine and peach leads to a creamy peach-driven palate. Crisp enough to be drunk on its own, or beautiful with simple sea food.
Calazul Albariño is a crisp and lively white from the Rías Baixas region in Galicia, Spain, crafted by Bodegas Rectoral do Umia on the banks of the Umia River. Made entirely from Albariño grapes, the wine is fermented in stainless steel to preserve its freshness and clarity.
Bright aromas of tropical fruit, gooseberry, and citrus with a core of fresh pear and apple. The palate is light-bodied with zesty acidity, subtle peach notes, crisp green apple, and a chalky mineral undertone, finishing with a tangy, lingering sharpness.
Contains sulphites.
Bodegas Rectoral do Umia brings Albariño grapes to the winery within two hours of harvest to retain their natural vibrancy. Extended lees contact after fermentation adds depth and texture to the wine, while preserving the bright, saline edge that defines this coastal Rías Baixas style.
