Dark purple in colour with an expressive nosefull of blackcurrant, vanilla and gingerbread complemented by subtle oak. A well balanced wine with very good length.
Château de Rochemorin 2015 is a classic red Bordeaux from the Pessac-Léognan appellation, crafted by the André Lurton family. This wine blends 65% Cabernet Sauvignon and 35% Merlot, aged for 12 months in oak barrels (30–40% new), resulting in a harmonious balance of fruit and structure.
The wine shows a garnet-red colour with subtle bricking. On the nose, there are hints of jammy red fruits like strawberry and spice such as white pepper. The palate is soft and smooth at first, developing power, elegance, and a long finish with morello cherry notes.
Contains sulphites.
Château de Rochemorin was once owned by the philosopher Charles Louis de Secondat, Baron de Montesquieu, in the 18th century. He famously praised the wine’s complex, mineral-driven character, which remains a hallmark of this Graves estate today.
