Zinfandel is one of those grapes - exuberant, juicy, and prone to over-ripeness, but when done well it has warming fruit and the barest hint of dark restraint. Delicious.
De Loach Zinfandel comes from California’s Russian River Valley, a cooler climate area known for producing Zinfandels with balanced acidity and ripe fruit concentration. This wine combines old vine intensity with a smooth, polished style, reflecting decades of experience from one of Sonoma County’s pioneering producers.
Aromas of blackberry, raspberry, and subtle spice. The palate is rich and full-bodied, offering flavours of black cherry, plum, and a touch of vanilla, supported by soft tannins and a lingering, peppery finish.
Contains sulphites.
De Loach was founded in the 1970s and played a key role in revitalising California’s Pinot Noir and Zinfandel plantings. Their Zinfandel draws from some of the oldest vines in Russian River Valley, combining heritage with careful winemaking to create a wine that balances boldness with elegance, a true reflection of the region’s terroir.
