Blockhead Shiraz is a bold, full-flavoured red from South Africa’s Western Cape, offering the richness and spice that fans of Shiraz love, without being overbearing. It’s fruit-forward, smooth, and built for easy drinking.
Rich aromas of blackberry, black cherry, and cracked pepper. The palate shows dark plum, liquorice, and warm spice, with soft tannins and a touch of mocha on the finish.
Contains sulphites.
As with the Chenin Blanc, the name “Blockhead” comes from a nickname given to the winemaker in his early days—stubborn, but determined. That character now fuels a focus on honest, flavour-packed wines made with minimal fuss and maximum drinkability.
