Bright garnet in colour with aromas of raspberry, sweet cherry, cedar, wild thyme and mushroom. The palate is rich in texture and complemented by red and black berry, wild herb and earthy flavours.
Wild Earth Series Pinot Noir comes from Central Otago, New Zealand’s most southerly and dramatic wine region. Known for its extreme climate and mountainous terrain, Central Otago produces some of the world’s most striking expressions of Pinot Noir. Wild Earth sources grapes from rugged, high-altitude vineyards and uses gentle winemaking techniques to reflect the purity of the fruit and the character of the landscape.
Aromas of cherry, red plum and wild herbs with hints of spice and earth. The palate is vibrant and medium-bodied, showing layers of dark berry fruit, clove, and subtle oak, with fine tannins and a savoury finish.
Contains sulphites.
The name “Wild Earth” not only references the untamed landscapes of Central Otago, but also the winery’s original use of earth-fired clay pots and open-fire pits for food and wine experiences—an unusual blend of rustic tradition and fine wine culture. It’s a label that proudly reflects its environment, both in spirit and in flavour.
