Lovely fresh Pinot with crunch from whole bunch fermentation and Richard Hemming MW agrees, stating, “I defy anyone to find better-value Pinot Noir than Heirloom in the Adelaide Hills.”
Heirloom Vineyards Adelaide Hills Pinot Noir is a red wine from the cool-climate Adelaide Hills region in South Australia. Crafted by Heirloom Vineyards, this wine is produced from meticulously hand-tended vines, ensuring quality and true expression of the terroir. The grapes are sorted bunch by bunch, naturally fermented in open-top tanks, and aged in well-seasoned French oak barriques for seven months. The wine is vegan-friendly, reflecting the estate's commitment to minimal intervention winemaking.
This wine shows a vibrant ruby colour. The nose offers aromas of red cherries, raspberries, and subtle herbal notes. On the palate, it reveals flavours of black cherry and plum, complemented by well-integrated hints of cedar and pepper from the oak ageing. The wine is marked by fresh natural acidity, fine tannins, and a lingering finish.
Contains sulphites.
Heirloom Vineyards uses its own Pinot Noir clones and carefully tends vines throughout the season. This wine shows the estate's commitment to quality and sustainable viticulture, capturing the distinctive character of the Adelaide Hills region.
