Ramos Pinto LBV

Ramos Pinto LBV is a rich, unfiltered fortified wine from Portugal's Douro Valley, crafted from a blend of traditional grape varieties, including Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinto Cão, and Tinta Barroca. Sourced from the estate's Quintas do Bom Retiro and Ervamoira vineyards, the grapes are hand-harvested and foot-trodden in traditional lagares. The wine undergoes fermentation for 3 to 5 days before aging in large oak casks for approximately four years, allowing it to develop complexity while remaining approachable upon release.

Deep ruby red in colour, this LBV offers fresh and concentrated aromas of ripe red fruits such as cherry, raspberry, and black plum, complemented by notes of eucalyptus and a hint of cedar. On the palate, it is enveloping and harmonious, with flavours of cherry, plum, sweet red berries, and hints of bergamot, supported by silky tannins. The wine is exuberant and charming, with a long, balanced finish.
