Pocas 2009 Vintage Port

Poças Vintage Port 2009 is a fortified wine from the Douro Valley in Portugal. Crafted exclusively in exceptional years, this vintage port is produced by Poças Júnior, a family-owned estate established in 1918. The wine is a blend of traditional Portuguese grape varieties, including Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca, and Tinto Cão. After manual harvesting, the grapes undergo controlled fermentation with extended maceration, followed by maturation in wooden vats. The wine is bottled without filtration between the second and third year after harvest, allowing it to mature gracefully in the bottle over decades

Full-bodied and rich, showcasing a harmonious balance between sweet fruit flavours and firm tannins. The wine exhibits layers of complexity, with hints of dark chocolate and spice, leading to a long and persistent finish
