Pale ruby in the glass, with bright, perfumed aromas of redcurrant, sour cherry and dried herbs. Lightly oaked and incredibly fresh, this is quite distinct from the traditional blends coming out of the Douro.
Poças Fora da Série Vinho da Roga Red 2021 is a dry red wine from Portugal’s Douro Valley. Made from a blend of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, and Tinta Roriz, it is fermented at cool temperatures with minimal skin contact to maintain freshness and acidity. The wine is aged for 9 months in used 300-litre French oak barrels, adding subtle complexity while preserving the fruit character.
Light ruby in colour, with aromas of currant, cherry, and a touch of mint. On the palate, it is fresh and balanced, showing firm tannins and a clean, fruity profile.
Contains sulphites.
The name “Vinho da Roga” refers to a traditional procession of vineyard workers celebrating the end of harvest in the Douro Valley. This wine captures that festive spirit with its fresh, expressive character.
