Eirados is one of the oldest vineyards of the Quinta Santa Eufémia's and the resulting ports are striking. Bold and structured with its core of black plums and fresher red curants, the finish is complex, giving more spice and violets.
Eirados LBV (Late Bottled Vintage) Port is a rich and approachable fortified wine from the Douro Valley in Portugal. Crafted from grapes sourced from a single vintage, this LBV is aged for four to six years in large oak vats before bottling, offering a more accessible and ready-to-drink style compared to traditional vintage Ports. Eirados combines classic Port characteristics with smoothness and depth, making it an excellent choice for both newcomers and aficionados.
Deep ruby in colour, with aromas of ripe blackberries, plums, and dark cherries, layered with hints of spice and chocolate. The palate is full-bodied and velvety, featuring luscious fruit flavours balanced by gentle tannins and a long, warming finish.
Contains sulphites.
Eirados LBV Port offers the complexity and intensity of a vintage Port with the convenience of being ready to enjoy upon release. Its extended ageing in oak vats softens the tannins and develops rounded fruit flavours, making it a versatile wine that pairs beautifully with both strong cheeses and decadent desserts.
