What a find! A Grape Minds import, this is steely minerality, intense fruit and a long cleansing finish. There's nothing Petit about this Chablis.
Made from 100% Chardonnay, grown on limestone and clay soils. The grapes are pressed slowly at low pressure to preserve their fresh and fruity aromas. The juice is fermented in stainless steel at 19-21°C, and the wine is aged on its lees in stainless steel tanks for at least 8 months.
The wine is pale lemon in colour. On the nose, there are fresh aromas of lemon and grapefruit, which continue on the palate. The finish is long and clean.
Contains sulphites.
Domaine Besson is a family-run estate, now in the hands of the third and fourth generations of wine-growers: current owner Alain and his son Adrien, who manages the vineyards, and daughter Camille, winemaker and marketer.
