Chateau Haut Brion 2015

Château Haut-Brion is one of Bordeaux's most prestigious estates, celebrated globally for its rich history, exceptional wines, and unique terroir. Classified as a First Growth in the 1855 Bordeaux Wine Classification, it holds the distinction of being the only First Growth located outside of the Médoc, in the Pessac-Léognan region of Bordeaux. The 2015 vintage is a blend of 50% Merlot, 42% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 8% Cabernet Franc. The grapes are grown in the estate’s gravelly soils, which are perfect for producing wines with both power and elegance. The 2015 vintage benefitted from ideal climatic conditions, with a warm and dry summer leading to perfect ripeness across the vineyard. The wine is crafted with meticulous care, undergoing fermentation in stainless steel vats and aging for 20 months in 78% new French oak barrels.

Aromatic layers of black cherries, ripe plums, wild blueberries, and hints of cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, espresso, and lavender. On the palate, full-bodied with a harmonious balance of bold black and blue fruit flavours, nuanced cherry notes, baking spices, and floral accents.
