Swift Mangatahi Terraces Albariño is a crisp, aromatic white from New Zealand’s Hawke’s Bay region. Pale straw in colour, it opens with lively citrus and stone fruit notes, complemented by hints of saline minerality and subtle floral characters. The “Terraces” in the name refers to the historic river terraces of the Mangatahi area in Hawke’s Bay, shaped by ancient floods of the Ngaruroro River. Albariño itself is a variety more commonly associated with Spain’s Rías Baixas, but in New Zealand its cool nights and maritime influence give a distinct clarity and lifted freshness to the style familiar to both Old and New World drinkers.
