Hundred Hills Preamble Rosé is an elegant English sparkling wine from the chalky slopes of Oxfordshire’s Stonor Valley. Crafted by Hundred Hills, the cuvée blends Pinot Noir sourced from the Hillside Vineyard with around 40% late-harvested Chardonnay. After gentle pressing, it’s fermented without malolactic transformation, aged in oak, and spends 18 months on lees for added depth.
Fragrant aromas of red berries, citrus zest, and blood orange lead into a palate of vivacious pink grapefruit and rhubarb, underpinned by a precise mineral streak. The long, refreshing finish holds vibrant energy and tension.
Contains sulphites.
The name “Preamble” reflects its role as an introductory cuvée in the Hundred Hills range. The label even maps out the specific vineyard parcels and Burgundian clones (Pinot Noir and Chardonnay) used—an artisanal detail that speaks to their minimalist, terroir-driven ethos
