Il Faggio Montepulciano is a vibrant red from Italy’s Abruzzo region, crafted by the cooperative Cantina Tollo. Made entirely from Montepulciano d’Abruzzo grapes grown on warm hillsides, this wine delivers expressive fruit and reassuring value.
Deep ruby in colour with aromas of black cherry, plum, and a hint of violet. The palate offers juicy dark fruit framed by supple tannins, gentle spice, and a clean, lingering finish.
Contains sulphites.
“Il Faggio” means “The Beech Tree,” named after the landmark at the winery that marks the site of an ancient woodland. This Montepulciano highlights Cantina Tollo’s commitment to preserving native Abruzzo varieties and protecting natural heritage in their vineyard practices.
