This superb Fiano has its grapes picked right at their ripest giving sumptious tropical and stone fruit flavours all complemented by a wonderful underlying acidity.
Feudi di San Gregorio 'Pietracalda' Fiano di Avellino DOCG 2021 is a dry white wine from the Campania region of southern Italy. Made from 100% Fiano grapes grown in the volcanic soils of Sorbo Serpico, this wine is fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks, with 4-5 months on the lees and periodic bâtonnage, enhancing its texture and complexity.
Aromas of chamomile, freshly picked stone fruits, and candied citron. The palate is soft and well-balanced, featuring flavors of citrus and orchard fruits, with a refreshing minerality and a persistent finish.
Contains sulphites.
The 'Pietracalda' vineyard's volcanic, sandstone, and marl soils contribute to the wine's distinctive minerality, showcasing the unique terroir of the Irpinia region.
