Vina Arana Gran Reserva

Viña Arana Gran Reserva 2016 is a refined red from La Rioja Alta, S.A. in Spain’s celebrated Rioja Alta region. Made predominantly from Tempranillo (95%) with a splash of Graciano (5%), the grapes are sourced from estate vineyards in Rodezno and Fuenmayor. After fermentation, the wine was aged for 36 months in American oak barrels, racked by hand every six months in the traditional method, and bottled in July 2020. It reflects both classic Rioja craftsmanship and the exceptional quality of the 2016 vintage.

Clean, bright ruby with a garnet rim. Aromas of ripe black plum, wild strawberry, cassis, and blackcurrant are layered with vanilla, brioche, cinnamon, cedar, and a hint of tobacco. The palate is full-bodied and well-balanced, with a core of dark berries and red fruit, polished tannins, and vibrant acidity. Complex notes of forest floor, truffle, and cigar box lead to a long, elegant finish.
