Gruner Veltliner Eiswein Waldschutz

Waldschütz Grüner Veltliner Eiswein is a rare sweet wine from Austria, made from grapes naturally frozen on the vine and picked in the early hours of winter. The freezing process concentrates sugars and acids, producing a wine that’s intensely flavoured yet brilliantly balanced, with a crystalline purity typical of the best Eiswein.

Aromas of candied lime, white peach, and elderflower. The palate is luscious and bright, with layers of citrus marmalade, green apple, and honey, lifted by a vibrant streak of acidity that keeps the finish clean and refreshing.

Contains sulphites.

Waldschütz is a small, family-run estate in the Kamptal region, and their Eiswein is only produced in exceptional vintages when temperatures fall low enough to naturally freeze the grapes on the vine. The result is a labour-intensive, low-yield wine that captures a fleeting moment of nature in every bottle.
