A rich and dry oaked Carignan from WellingtonThe grapes for this one come from two vineyards, one being the oldest Carignan vineyard in South Africa. They are vinified separately and fermented naturally before spending almost a year in large French oak barrels.
Floral on the nose with a grassy freshness; on the palate it's mellow and layered with red fruit like cherry and plum, with hints of spice and gentle French oak.
Contains (low levels) sulfites.
made with minimal intervention, so sulphur is limited and filtration is light.
