Kokomo Winery Peters Vineyard Chardonnay

Kokomo Winery Peters Vineyard Chardonnay is a rich yet well-balanced Chardonnay from the Russian River Valley in Sonoma County, California. Made from 100% Chardonnay, it combines ripe pineapple, pear and green apple with citrus, hazelnut and subtle vanilla. The palate has plenty of richness and texture, but the naturally high acidity of the vineyard keeps the wine fresh and focused, with a long, mineral finish.

The Peters Vineyard sits just outside Sebastopol in the Russian River Valley, next to the historic farm of horticulturist Luther Burbank. The vineyard's Goldridge sandy loam soils and cool Russian River climate help give the Chardonnay its combination of ripe fruit and naturally lively acidity. The wine is also given regular lees stirring during its maturation, building texture and depth without losing the vineyard's freshness.
