Fresh Cassis and blackcurrant fruit are wrapped in extremely fine grained tannins in this grown up Cru Bouregois. The finish is long and a lovely sous-bois character is just starting to emerge.
Château La Haye Saint-Estèphe is a classic left bank Bordeaux red, predominantly Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, with smaller amounts of Petit Verdot. Situated just outside the village of Saint-Estèphe, the estate dates back to the 16th century and is now family-owned and sustainably farmed. The wine is matured in French oak barrels, offering a traditional yet polished expression of the appellation.
Aromas of blackcurrant, cedar, and dried herbs. The palate is structured and refined, with dark berry fruit, tobacco leaf, graphite, and a savoury, mineral edge. Firm tannins and a long, balanced finish.
Contains sulphites.
Château La Haye is one of the oldest properties in Saint-Estèphe, with documented winemaking history dating to 1557. Under the current ownership, the estate has focused on precision viticulture and lower yields, bringing a more elegant and terroir-driven style to their wines—while still capturing the structure and depth typical of the appellation.
