Corvina is the main grape variety in the wonderful wines of Amarone and this shows those deep dark juicy characteristics. A great introduction to that style of wine.
Casalforte Corvina Veronese IGT is a full-bodied red made from 100% Corvina grapes in Italy’s Veneto region. The grapes are harvested late to concentrate flavour, then fermented using a specialised method to maximise colour and tannin extraction. The wine is aged for 12 months in a mix of stainless steel and wooden barrels, resulting in a balanced, structured style.
Deep ruby red in colour with aromas of ripe black cherry, blackberry, and subtle vanilla spice. The palate is elegant and well balanced, finishing long and smooth.
Contains sulphites.
The name “Casalforte” refers to the Castle of Monteforte, built around the year 1000 to defend the region. This connection highlights the winery’s respect for local history and tradition in their winemaking.
