A blend of Corvina and Merlot, this is a sumptous dark warming red wine, made in the Appassimento style, offering layers of luxury for a fraction of the price of its well known neighbour, Amarone.

A rich, sun-kissed Sicilian red with aromas of ripe black cherries, pomegranate, and dried plums. The palate is soft and warm, offering smooth tannins and a lingering, fruit-forward finish.
Negrar La Roselle Valpolicella Ripasso - from £16.99
This is a lovely Valpolicella which balances the fresh cherry and the slightly darker notes very well from the Ripasso winemaking methods. A superb one to try and a good glimpse of what Amarone can taste like!
