A superb new Pomerol from a family estate. 10% of Cabernet Sauvignon and Franc are blended with 80% Merlot to give deep black fruit flavour, subtle oak and an increbily smooth finish. A great wine to drink now and in the next 5 years.
Château des Pèlerins is a family-owned estate situated in the prestigious Pomerol appellation on Bordeaux’s Right Bank. Known for its small size and artisanal approach, the château produces wines primarily from Merlot, the dominant grape in Pomerol. With gravel and clay soils ideal for ripening Merlot to perfection, this wine embodies the supple texture and depth that make Pomerol so sought-after.
Aromas of ripe plum, blackberry, and mocha. The palate is plush and rounded, with flavours of dark cherry, cedar, and spice, supported by silky tannins and a lingering, savoury finish.
Contains sulphites.
The name Pèlerins means “pilgrims,” a nod to the historic routes to Santiago de Compostela that pass near the estate.
