A dry white, full of citrus and stone fruit, with a wonderful salinity. There is body, yet freshness, a true example of Assyrtiko!
Argyros Santorini Assyrtiko is a dry white wine from the volcanic island of Santorini, made from the island’s flagship grape variety. The Argyros estate, founded in 1903 and still family-run, is known for producing wines from some of the oldest ungrafted vines in the world—many over 100 years old. This Assyrtiko captures the island’s signature minerality and vibrant acidity in a focused, textural style.
Aromas of lemon peel, sea breeze, and wet stone. The palate is crisp and linear, with flavours of citrus, green apple, and saline minerality, finishing long and bone-dry with a firm acidic backbone.
Contains sulphites.
This Assyrtiko is grown on volcanic soils from vines over a century old, trained in the traditional “kouloura” basket shape to protect them from fierce island winds. Argyros’s style is precise and mineral-driven, making this wine a benchmark for Santorini’s world-renowned white wines.
