Predominantly Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, it delivers a concentrated core of blackcurrant and plum, layered with notes of graphite, leather and subtle spice. The 2003 vintage, marked by an unusually hot summer, produced wines with ripe, forward fruit yet retained the estate’s classic structure, making it approachable earlier than many Saint- Estèphe wines.
